VIDEO: Whale Carcass on Big Island Attracts Sharks

The Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources is warning people to stay out of the waters off Pahoa on the Big Island where a whale carcass is decomposing.

Numerous tiger sharks are feeding off of the 50-foot whale, which state and federal officials are trying to remove, KHON reports

State and federal agencies are working with a private marine salvage company to remove the foul-smelling carcass. The public is warned to stay out of the water until three days after the carcass is removed.
